Thank you, Kim [Burge], for your article on the National Small Business Alliance. We thought $8,000 of credit for a start-up business sounded like a much needed thing, so we tried to check out their product. But after many attempts over months, we could never get a principal of the company on the phone, only telemarketers. It seemed strange that a company with that great a product wouldn't want to talk to us.
Since 1995 we have been the largest source of business financing information on the web, and in 10 years we have seen all the scams. We let funding sources know it is our policy that NO ONE gets into our directory with out a clean BBB record. And just that simple fact makes some sources run for cover.
We wish consumers would always check with the BBB before they pay, rather than only after they have been ripped off.
